A quenching furnace is an industrial furnace used in heat treatment processes to rapidly cool (quench) heated metals or alloys to achieve desired mechanical properties, such as increased hardness and strength. The quenching process involves heating the material to a specific temperature (typically in the austenitizing range for steels) and then rapidly cooling it using a quenching medium like oil, water, polymer solutions, or gas.
